In the last few days, an annoying ad pops up immediately upon opening the app. The only way you can access news stories is to close the app. I am fine with ads embedded inside the app, but this non-sense is EXTREMELY annoying and unfortunate.

This app is very helpful. A good idea I have is, if there is a warning, the vibration is different than normal news.

I got this app to keep up with school closings, but when every page visited prompts an advertisement for another Wave 3 app, and identical notifications pop up seconds from each other, 2-5 at a time, that is when an application gets uninstalled. Thanks to this ridiculous app, I will just keep a shortcut to the closings in my browser.

Constantly crashes. I am deleting it.

Im considering deleting the app. I get a huge picture of Papa John before the news story loads. Very annoying.

I had switched from the 32 WLKY app some time back and really enjoyed the WAVE 3 app. The layout is excellent and the stories can actually be read without having to burn data on video. But this long pause on loading the news stories (or when you want to get in quick to check the weather) to display a Papa Johns ad is driving me crazy. Realistically we know advertising has a part in free services such as this but it needs to be a bit more unobtrusive. Lately Ive found myself passing up the app entirely simply because I know what is waiting upon launch. At some point Ill probably switch to another local news app if the format doesnt change.

This app has great potential but has a few issues that should be addressed. I was looking through the missing persons page through the app hoping I could help by seeing someone I knew or might have seen only to consistently have ads pop up and crash the app a few times. Out of all places to put ads! Missing persons should not be one of those places! It almost seemed disgraceful to say the least. Besides that, Im frequently redirected for mobile users. In a day where technology is in abundance and so fast.....it seems like this wouldnt happen in 2016. Thats a minor issue that shouldnt even be happening. The app also frequently crashes, usually when the pop ups come about. How do the developers not even notice this and if they do why hasnt it been addressed or fixed? To sum it up: This would be a great app but I frequently turn my Google browser for local news due the current issues this app faces. iPhone 6 user with no other issues.

I love Wave 3. When I moved to the Louisville area almost 20 years ago, I felt like the news channel I watched in Ohio was like leaving family. So happy to have found a news/weather group to be new family members here. Would have given you 5 stars but sometimes your online headlines are exaggerated teasers.

Love the app and alerts - very easy to use. Hate that I have to stare at an ad every time I open it up, even when I just minimized it I have to look at it again.

Its okay. But other than news and weather nothing gets updated on time. Ex. Sports scores!!

Its really the only app I need. Its got all the important local news with a mix of national/world too. They also have other, fun stuff -- not just crime. I realy like their data lists. And when new stuff happens they send alerts so Im firs to find out.

As a volunteer EMT in the Wave 3 area I love getting updates and breaking news on my phone.

Love the app!! The layout was thought out very well! I definitely recommend to everyone who lives in Louisville!
